Pro-Mech Engineering is looking for a qualified Metal Fabricator / Welder to join our team in Leeton NSW on a permanent full-time basis.

We carry out a wide variety of fabrication, installation, repair and maintenance work, with a large portion of our work servicing the food and beverage industry.

​

This is a varied role involving a mixture of workshop and site work. Much of our site work is around Leeton, Griffith and surrounding areas, with travel also required for projects in locations such as Goulburn, Sydney and Melbourne.

About the role

Work will include:

• Welding and general metal fabrication, including stainless steel

• Food and beverage industry fabrication and installation

• Site installation, repairs and maintenance

• Reading and working from drawings

• Working independently and as part of a team

 

What we're looking for

The successful applicant will:

• Be a qualified Metal Fabricator, Boilermaker or similar

• Have strong welding and fabrication skills

• Be confident working both in the workshop and onsite

• Be able to read and work from drawings

• Take pride in producing quality work

• Be reliable and able to work independently when required

• Hold a current driver's licence

• Be willing and able to travel and work away from home when required

• Travel and work away from home is an essential part of this position.

• Competitive, above award rates

• Higher base rate negotiable depending on skills and experience

• Overtime paid at applicable rates – 1.5x, 2x and 2.5x
